The virtuosic Philadelphia-based chorus, The Crossing (Donald Nally, conductor) has commissioned Edie Hill to compose a new extended work for chorus based on the poetry of Holly J. Hughes. The title for the new work is "Spectral Spirits."

The work is set to be premiered in Philadelphia as part of The Crossing @ Christmas concert series on the evening of December 20, 2019. It will be performed alsongside David Lang's "the little match girl passion." An additional performance will take place Sunday, December 22.
