Above the Green Night Featured on New Album

by | Mar 11, 2014 | News

The critically acclaimed Tantalus Guitar quartet’s highly anticipated new album, Foolish Fire, features Edie’s stunning work for guitar quartet, Above the Green Night.

Above the Green Night takes its inspiration from two works by Spain’s greatest modern poet, Federico Garcia Lorca. In the first movement, “Blind Archers,” hear the crack of longbows over insistent, galloping pedal points. The reflective second movement, “Hour of Stars,” begins with four solos, each elegantly handed over to the next, only to finish in a sea of twinkling harmonics, delicately fading away as if the morning sun were beginning to rise.
